Sheer delight: my coworker and I today both opted for sheer dresses. I love how we styled them so differently, I paired my Free People dress with a short slip, my Joe Lace up boots, my All Saints denim studded vest where as Laura wore denim cutoffs and a blazer!

I would DIE for the Christian Louboutin studded loafers, but at $1200, I think they are slightly out of my budget. Www.nastygal.com has a pair by UNIF for $165, however that isn’t really in my budget either these days. Ugh…shoes…they are seriously the death of me.
LA VS. NYC…this is the question which is causing me sleepless nights recently. I have lived in Los Angeles for 3 years now, I love the weather; I mean who doesn’t like 80 degree weather January 1st? I have a great group of friends here, I am close to my parents and siblings; just an hour flight away. I love the laid back lifestyle, the West Coast living, Kings Road Cafe, Runyon Canyon, the abundance of McSteamy sightings that have occurred, the list goes on. New York: my best friend lives there with her fiance, it’s a fast paced metropolitan city, it has real seasons, tall buildings, men in suits, and all new places to explore. I feel as if there are more oppurtunities in the career path I want to follow in New York, it would be a new start, I would be moving with my SIGNO…a silly term my friend and I have for each other, it would just be exciting.
My head is literally spinning. Not to mention I looked at the Crunch gym schedule in NYC and they don’t have nearly as half the spinning classes as my location has! My deadline is Friday…my friend wants me to decide if I am committing to the move by Friday. As I mentioned…my head is spinning with thoughts, worries, dreams, feelings.
Just needed to write it down.
I am so excited for this upcoming exhibition at LACMA “Common Places: Printing, Embroidery, and the Art of Global Mapping”. I have always found maps so interesting, one of my favorite classes in college was “Intro to Cartography”. I wish I had explored this area more. Maps have also played a big part in the art work I have made, whether I am using a map as the substrate, or using a silhouette and lines of a map. The exhibition runs February 18th-May 13th and I can’t wait!!
Fringe love! It’s gloomy out, and I am pretty sure I am getting sick so my Fringe Navajo wrap from Free People is an essential today! And what goes better with the wrap than my favorite All Saints fringe boots!
Being a former Free People employee, I still get so excited for their monthly catalogue. This month’s catalogue is just so great! LA vs NYC. This is actually a decision I am currently deciding myself too. I love LA but the thought of moving to NYC is exciting too. Who knows where I will end up!!
